elizaOS

Eliza manages your digital life so you can live your real one. A personal AI agent you own, from the team behind the open-source elizaOS framework.

What they're building, who they are, and where each claim comes from — drawn only from the four source tiers below. Program sessions stay internal unless the team approves an excerpt.

The problem

Digital life outruns the person living it.

Messages, mail, bills, promises — the flood grows until replies get dropped and relationships shrink. It hits hardest when work takes off: "When our project took off I fell apart… I stopped responding to my friends and my life got really small." POSTER

Cloud assistants

Useful in proportion to how much they know about you — "not just data privacy, but data intimacy" — yet that intimacy lives on someone else's servers. PITCH Pending approval

Your operating system

Silos your own messages and data away from any agent that could help. PITCH

Point tools

Patch one app at a time; nothing owns the whole picture on your behalf. AI

02

What is it

One persistent agent per person, running on devices you control, reachable in the channels you already use.

Eliza connects to your messaging, mail, calendar, and work tools, keeps long-term memory of what matters to you, and either surfaces a decision or handles the task itself. It runs on your phone, your Mac, a Windows machine, even a Raspberry Pi. POSTER PITCH

HANDLEDdone on your behalf

"The reply you owed, drafted. The bill, paid. The promise, kept. Every decision, yours." POSTER

Why Eliza over the rest: ownership. "The agent that runs your life should belong to you" — open source, local-first, down to its own operating system. PITCH

03

What it does for you

Five capabilities, each a daily benefit.

Memory

Remembers what matters to you, for the long term. POSTER

Access control

Answers differently depending on who's asking. PITCH

Workflows

Computer use

Does the task, not just the reminder. POSTER

AI  Naming, decoded: elizaOS is the open-source framework and operating system; Eliza is the consumer app built on it; Eliza Cloud hosts agents for people who don't want to self-host. The framework is MIT on GitHub; the consumer app has no public repo in the org as of 2026-07-22.

In their own words

How the team tells it — Shaw Walters, July 2026.

"There's clearly a relationship between how much the agent knows about us and how useful it is. We see not just data privacy, but this new thing called data intimacy."

PITCHPending approval

"We believe the agent that runs your life should belong to you."

PITCHPending approval

"We want to be the Linux of agents. Open core. Portable everywhere."

PITCHPending approval

From the live demo: Eliza transcribes a conversation as it happens, catches a decision, does the work, and files a GitHub PR — "even while I'm hiking in the mountains."

Own your agent, own your data

"An agent that understands you has to belong to you." POSTER

Local, on-device agents

The agent runs on hardware you control; local-first by design.

Private, secure cloud agents

Hosted agents for those who want them, without giving up ownership.

No hidden data collection or retention

Your data stays yours; nothing is quietly kept.

The pitch also describes confidential-compute (TEE) hosting, end-to-end encrypted. Publishes once the deployment is public. Pending approval
