OpenClaw plugin docs

Contexto gives your OpenClaw agent memory across sessions.

Install once, then let Contexto auto-capture context at session end and auto-recall the right memory at session start. Everything stays local in SQLite on your machine.

How Contexto works

Step 1

Sign up and get your API key

Go to getcontexto.com and create an account. Your first month is free. Copy your API key from the dashboard.

Step 2

Install the Contexto plugin

Open your terminal in your OpenClaw workspace and run: openclaw plugins install @ekai/contexto

Step 3

Enter your API key

When prompted, paste your Contexto API key. The installer will verify the key, initialize the local SQLite memory store, and enable auto-recall.

Step 4

Done — your agent now remembers across sessions

Installation is complete. No restart required. Your agent will automatically capture context at session end and recall relevant memories at session start.

Frequently asked questions

Does Contexto work offline?

All memories are stored locally in SQLite on your machine. The only network call is API key validation at install time.

Does my conversation data leave my machine?

No. Contexto stores everything locally. Your conversations are never sent to Ekai Labs servers.

How is Contexto different from Mem0?

Mem0 is a full memory platform with cloud storage and broad LLM integrations. Contexto is built specifically for OpenClaw — one-command install, local storage, flat $20/month pricing with no feature gates.

How is Contexto different from Supermemory?

Supermemory offers a broader context engineering platform. Contexto focuses on one thing: making your OpenClaw agent remember across sessions with minimal setup.

Can I see and delete what my agent remembers?

Yes. The memory dashboard lets you view, search, and delete any stored memory.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Your local memory database stays on your machine. The plugin stops auto-capturing and auto-recalling, but your existing memories are not deleted.

Is Contexto open source?

Contexto is licensed under Apache 2.0. Source is available at github.com/ekailabs/contexto.

How much does Contexto cost?

$20/month flat. No feature gates, no retrieval caps. First month free.
